Neighborhood History
Minnehaha Park was created by the Spokane Parks Department in 1909 and has since been an important part of this thriving community.
The neighborhood was once made up of predominantly Italian families.One such prominent family was the Mauro Family.
They ran the local neighborhood grocery, and were always involved in neighborhood activities.
